The Student Induction Programme “Vihaan 2025” was successfully conducted at Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and Technology, Payyanur, for the newly admitted B.Tech students of the 2025–2029 batch. The programme was held from 14th August to 22nd August 2025 in accordance with AICTE guidelines.

The induction programme aimed to facilitate a smooth transition for students from school to professional college life. It focused on familiarizing students with the academic environment, institutional culture, and various facilities, while also nurturing personal growth, ethical values, and professional skills.

The programme included a wide range of sessions such as physical activities, human values and ethics, anti-drug awareness, soft skills development, and interactions with eminent personalities from academia and industry. It also featured co-curricular and extracurricular activities designed to promote teamwork, creativity, and overall personality development.

The inaugural function was held on 14th August 2025 at Mahakavi Kumaranashan Hall. The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by a welcome address by the Dean Academics. The inaugural address highlighted the institution’s vision and values, while the Principal motivated students to strive for academic excellence and holistic development. The session also included the Engineer’s Oath, reinforcing students’ commitment to ethical practices.

Throughout the programme, students actively participated in various sessions and activities that enhanced their awareness, communication skills, and confidence. The induction programme successfully created a positive and engaging environment, helping students build strong relationships with peers and faculty.
