Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology was established in 2003 and is currently affiliated with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technological University, with approval from AICTE and the Government of Kerala. The programme focuses on core areas such as power systems, control systems, electronics, and instrumentation, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. It is supported by modern laboratories, experienced faculty, and updated learning resources. Regular seminars, workshops, and community programmes enhance student innovation and professional development, aiming to produce skilled engineers ready for global challenges.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduates have strong career opportunities in both government and private sectors, especially in core areas like power systems, maintenance, and operations. They can secure jobs in Public Sector Undertakings and government departments through exams like IES and UPSC . Organizations such as oil, power, and telecom companies, along with state bodies like electricity boards, recruit engineers for roles in generation, transmission, and distribution. Additionally, opportunities exist in emerging fields like IT, IoT, robotics, and manufacturing, as well as in teaching and civil services.
