The Department of Physical Education at Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and Technology focuses on developing physical fitness and acquiring knowledge and skills to promote physical activity and exercise among students. The Head of the Department (HOD) is Mr.Unnikrishnan O, Assistant Professor in Physical Education. The department also aims to promote good health, enhance social and emotional development, and improve cognitive development by organizing annual sports meet and various activity and game sessions under the norms of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University

In the four-year bachelor degree program, students learn how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle. Learning the newest skills will help them to succeed in the fast-paced world of sports along with an opening for broad career opportunities. The sports complex of the college have several indoor activities such as Badminton, Chess, Caroms, table tennis, yoga and an outdoor multipurpose playground with 200m athletes track, facilities for playing and practicing football, cricket, volley ball, Kabaddi, handball, kho-kho,etc.

The college have successfully hosted many intra university competitions such as: KTU F- Zone Kabadi championship Kho-Kho kalaripayattu etc.
