Startup Awareness and Leadership Training, named IgniteEdu 2025 was conducted on January 25th, 2025, at SN Vidya Mandir, Talap. Mrs. Smitha Srinivasan, Principal of SN Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, accompanied the IEDC nodal officers and students to the 9th-grade classrooms. The nodal officers, Mr. Rahul C.G. and Mrs. Soshya V C, formally introduced the program to the students. This was followed by a technical session that provided a platform for the students to gain insights into IEDC, entrepreneurship, and startups. The session included presentations and interactive activities for the 9th-grade students


The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC) of SNGCET organized a program on emerging technologies and industry trends on January 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Swami Bodhananda Hall. The program commenced with a welcome address delivered by Anirudh, a 4th-semester student. Dr. Leena A. V., The principal of SNGCET addressed the gathering. Representing the college management, Sri T K Rajendran ( Vice President of SBSY) and director board members were present.
The guest speaker for the program was Mr. Ajit Balakrishnan, the founder of Rediff.com.
Mr. Ajit Balakrishnan's talk focused on the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the future and its impact on various industries. The session was interactive, with students and teachers actively engaging with the distinguished speaker by asking questions and clarifying their doubts.
Following the talk, certificates were presented to the student lead members of the IEDC for the previous year. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by 4th-semester student Anuraj M.


The Technical Session unfolded, providing a platform for students to know more about IEDC. Presentations were conducted by the members of IEDC. The event culminated with a panel discussion by Mr. Jacob Thomas (head of project and consultancy SNGCET). Attendees gained valuable knowledge and perspectives that are instrumental in nurturing an entrepreneurial mind set.


The objective of the event is to provide various topics to student which helped students to boost their creative thinking level.The Presentations covered a diverse range of topics, from software applications to sustainable solutions for real-world problems. Each presentation included a dedicated time for demonstration and Q&A.


Smart India Hackathon 2023-SNGCET, an initiative by the Ministry of Education that offers an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on our nation.


The objective of the program is to motivate the final year students to identify the ideas in them and work on that ideas to star their own venture.


Entrepreneurship and Innovation program served a platform for first year B Tech students to present innovative ideas related to engineering field.
