The Electronics And Communications Engineering (ECE) Department was established in the year 2003. The programme is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. After the inception of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University of Kerala, in the year 2015, the ECE programme is affiliated to this university. The Department of ECE has a team of committed faculty members who are well qualified and richly experienced in teaching. The Department has excellent infrastructural facilities to cater the needs for training present day engineering professionals. It aims to produce graduates who are part of high-tech, elite professionals with special skills both in technical and soft skills, with a solid foundation in attaining sound knowledge of Electronics And Communications Engineering. The Department takes keen initiatives so that the students are able to attain excellence at par with the need of the hour in all spheres of Education, Research & Technology. The Department has built an excellent reputation for its graduates who have been placed in national and multinational firms and public limited companies. Right from its inception, the department has been able to provide high quality training in various fields of Electronics And Communications Engineering. Students are encouraged to acquire practical knowledge in the field of Electronics and build their own working projects and models. The Department actively contributes towards various activities every year by organizing Technical Seminars and Festivals, Quiz competitions, Workshops, Seminars and National Level Conferences.

A graduate in Electronics And Communications Engineering can apply for the post of engineer in the State Government, Central Government and the public sector undertakings. Central services like Indian Engineering Service (IES), Indian Telephone Industries, BSNL/ MTNL, Civil Aviation Department, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., HPCL / BPCL / IPCL, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), Bharat Electronics Limited, Indian Railways, ISRO, DRDO and the Defense services offer exciting careers for Electronics And Communications Engineering graduates. PSO-1 Demonstrate skills in designing, implementing and testing analog and digital electronic circuits, including microprocessor systems, for signal processing, communication, networking, VLSI and embedded systems applications
PSO-2 Apply knowledge and skills to conduct experiments and develop applications using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools

PEO-1 To enable students to acquire knowledge in the fundamentals and advanced concepts of Electronics And Communications Engineering to analyze, design and create novel products and solutions for the real life problems.
PEO-2 To give exposure to students to new technologies and attain professional competence through lifelong learning such as advanced degrees, professional registration, publications and other professional activities.
PEO-3 To develop a professional outlook in the students with effective communication and responsible interaction.
