The Training & Placement Cell of Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology, Payyanur, conducted the NITC Aspire Programme – Career Guidance & Industry Awareness Programme on 17 September 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for CSE and EEE students. The CSE session was handled by Mr. Gouthaman P.K., B.Tech (Hons), NIT Calicut, MS (IT), Former Senior Director, Etisalat, Dubai. The EEE session was handled by Mr. C. Sunil Nambiar, B.Tech (Hons) Electrical, NIT Calicut, AVP, Yokogawa India Ltd., Bangalore (Retired). The programme provided students with valuable insights into career planning, industry expectations, professional opportunities, and workplace requirements, enhancing their awareness and preparedness for future careers.

The Training & Placement Cell of Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology, Payyanur, conducted the NITC Aspire Programme – Career Guidance & Industry Awareness Programme for ECE students on 16 September 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The session was handled by Mr. Gouthaman P.K., B.Tech (Hons), NIT Calicut, MS (IT), Former Senior Director, Etisalat, Dubai. The programme provided students with valuable insights into career opportunities, industry expectations, professional growth, and career planning, helping them develop greater awareness of the pathways available in the engineering and technology sector.

The Training & Placement Cell of Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology, Payyanur, organized the NITC Aspire Programme – Career Guidance & Industry Awareness Programme on 15 September 2026. The programme was conducted for Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students, with Sri. Ramesan K, M.Tech (IIT Madras), Retired Executive Engineer, KWA, Government of Kerala, and Sri. M. Suresh Babu, B.Sc. (Engg.), NIT Calicut, MBA, former General Manager, Western India Plywoods, serving as resource persons. The programme focused on providing students with career guidance, industry awareness, and insights into professional opportunities.

The Training and Placement Cell of Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology, Payyanur, organized a Tech Coding Training Session for S7 students of all branches from 14 to 16 September 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The three-day training programme was conducted by Neovent Innovations, Kochi, under the guidance of Mr. Athul Mohan, Founder & CEO, Neovent Innovations Kochi. The programme focused on strengthening students’ coding skills, technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and industry readiness, thereby enhancing their preparedness for recruitment and placement opportunities.

The Placement Cell of Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology, Payyanur, conducted an Aptitude and Verbal Training Programme on 14 August 2026. The training was conducted by Neovent Training, led by Ms. Poornima and Mr. Bhanu. The programme focused on enhancing students’ aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, and overall preparation for recruitment and placement drives.

Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and Technology successfully organized a Mega Job Fair on February 12, 2025. The event aimed to connect employers with job seekers by providing a platform for students and job aspirants to interact with top recruiters from various industries. The event was inaugurated by Sri K.P. Balakrishnan, alongside convenor Sri T.K. Rajendran, Secretary Sri K.P. Vinod Kumar, and other directors of SBSY, as well as officials from the college. The job fair featured the participation of 53 reputable employers from diverse sectors, including IT, manufacturing, construction, banking, and automobile industries. A total of 550 candidates, consisting of fresh graduates and experienced professionals, attended the event in search of career opportunities.Each employer set up dedicated recruitment booths where candidates participated in interviews, group discussions, and skill assessments. Some companies even offered on-the-spot job offers to candidates who performed well. The job fair provided an excellent platform for candidates to network with recruiters and gain valuable insights into industry expectations. Both employers and candidates expressed satisfaction with the seamless organization of the event. Recruiters praised the quality of the fair, while job seekers found it to be highly beneficial for their career growth. The Mega Job Fair was a tremendous success, benefiting both employers and job seekers. The event not only offered job opportunities but also enhanced the relationship between academia and industry. In the future, the institution plans to hold similar initiatives regularly to better support students in their career pursuits.
